The Way We Are Now: Selections from the 21c Collection
Cincinnati Art Museum
January 29 through May 15, 2011

Contemporary art shows us how we are. The Way We Are Now: Selections from the 21c Collection at the Cincinnati Art Museum (January 29 through May 15, 2011) showcases more than forty important works that let us see the critical issues most affecting modern society: politics, religion, war, sexual identity, racism, popular culture and immigration, among others. These artworks are drawn from the collection of 21c Museum Hotel, opening a branch in Cincinnati in 2012. Born out of a love of contemporary art; a desire to create alternative downtown spaces that prevent urban sprawl and a belief that art should be accessible and without pretense, 21c and its collection promise to be a catalyst for cultural life in the city.
